Georgian Journalistic Ethics Charter" responds to the remark of the presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili to journalists - "Use your brain". According to their assessment, similar remarks are not acceptable to media representatives, especially from the acting MP.
Nata Dzvelishvili, director of the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics said that the presidential candidate is obliged to answer the questions of journalists.
In case similar statements towards media representatives are repeated, Dzvelishvili does not exclude that the Charter will publish a statement.
"There is a high public interest towards a presidential candidate, so they are obliged to respond to all the questions of journalists, regardless of whether they are irritating, unacceptable, uncomfortable, etc. Such remark is unacceptable for a person who is an acting MP. If such unethical statements towards journalists take place again, we will issue a statement, "Nata Dzvelishvili said.
