Angela Merkel continued her South Caucasian tour in Azerbaijan. The German Chancellor arrived in Baku this morning and met with the president of the country.

Angela Merkel and Ilham Aliyev made a statement at the joint press conference after the negotiations in the extended format.

According to Chancellor, Azerbaijan is Germany"s largest trading partner in the region.

According to the Azerbaijani leader, cooperation between the two countries will be successfully developed in the future.

Angela Merkel and Ilham Aliyev met with Azerbaijani businessmen.
