The Tbilisi City Hall announced the approval of the General Land Use Plan in August, but the important document - how to develop the city is not yet adopted. The opposition suggests that the final positions could not be compromised due to differences in the opinion of the Urbanists and the senior officials of the City Hall and therefore the process is delayed. According to their information, the document will be submitted to Sakrebulo in the next two weeks, and the majority can not make accurate predictions.
"It will be a general plan that will be suitable for developers and not for Tbilisi residents," said Levan Khabeishvili.
Davit Zhghenti, deputy chairperson of Tbilisi Sakrebulo faction "European Georgia - Tbilisi" accuses the City Hall of pursuing its own interests.
The City Council"s Urban Planning Service responds to opposition and asks for concrete evidence.
