A day before the elections, presidential candidates are meeting with representatives of the international observer mission. OSCE, NATO, European Parliament, and Council of Europe observers in the closed format are listening to information about the election campaign.
Observers have already met with Salome Zourabichvili the presidential candidate supported by the ruling team , as well as opposition candidates - Grigol Vashadze, Davit Bakradze, Usupashvili, Zurab Japaridze, Shalva Natelashvili and Kakha Kukava.
The main topic of the meetings was the violations and main challenges during the pre-election campaign.
Davit Bakradze, presidential candidate for European Georgia said that the importance of the election and the future plans of his team were discussed.
The Chairman of the Movement for Building, Davit Usupashvili focused on the problematic election environment. According to him, there are the attempts to use administrative resources which he said, was characteristic for the post-Soviet countries.
Grigol Vashadze, the candidate of the united opposition parties, while speaking about violations in the pre-election campaign focused on the unequal conditions of presidential candidates, including unequal financing. According to Vashadze, businessmen are scared to support the opposition.
Leader of the Labor Party of Georgia, presidential candidate Shalva Natelashvili spoke about informal governance during the meeting.
Zurab Japaridze, presidential candidate for Girchi, says that mobilization of the state budget and Ivanishvili"s money, which is used only by a single candidate, is the main challenge for the presidential election.
Kakha Kukava, the candidate of the Free Georgia Party, speaks about non-competitive financial resources. According to him, the problem of elections is that the government has the security officers in the election commissions.
