The election process in Georgia is closely observed in Russia. According to the Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian Federation, there will be confrontatiion of the current government`s course and the course of the opposition.

Konstantin Kosachev draws attention to the president"s powers. Kosachov notes that the President of Georgia has the right to pardon, which he said means that in case of Vashadze`s , the former president will be pardoned.

"This will result in quite unpleasant consequences for Georgia"s internal policies in the future," Kosachov said.
