Martial law declared in Ukraine - Supreme Rada supported Poroshenko"s decree


Martial law has been declared in Ukraine - Supreme Rada supported Poroshenko"s decree. The martial law will enter into force in Ukraine tomorrow and it will last for 30 days in 10 regions located on the Russian border.

According to President Petro Poroshenko, this is the area where Russia may launch a land operation against Ukraine.

According to him, restrictions envisaged by the law will only be applied to civilians in case of Russian aggression.

The decree on declaration of martial law says that the elections in Ukraine will be held on March 31, 2019.
