Soviet Occupation Day - Students honored memory of Georgian cadets

Soviet Occupation Day - Georgian cadets who were killed were recalled by students. In honor of their remembrance, young people went to Tabakhmela-Kojori late last night and decorated with flowers the memorial. Students say that this day is very important.
On February 17, 1921, the 11th Army of Soviet Russia unleashed annexation war. The Georgian junkers met them on February 25 in Tabakhmela-Kojori. A large number of young people fell in the battlefield.
"Today"s day is very hard and tragic for young people. Almost a century has passed since the Soviet occupation and we remember the heroes. The Junkers sacrificed themselves for our country and I think their example is important, "said Rati Gurgenidze, president of the student self-government of Technical University.
