Occupation regime complicates issuance of permits for Georgians living outside Enguri

The occupation regime complicates the issuance of special permits for Georgian citizens living outside Enguri.
People living in Gali will have to arrive in Sokhumi to receive the document. The cost of one pass is up to GEL 1000. Part of the process is a special interview with Security Officer.
Rezo Kobalia, the head of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, explained that only the locals possessing the so-called Abkhazian passport will be able to move freely on the Enguri Bridge.
In addition, locals talk about food shortages. The population is still hopelessly waiting for the help of the Georgian authorities with these problems in captivity of the occupants .
