In Tbilisi Prosecutor charged with taking bribe

Prosecutor of Tbilisi’s Didube-Chugureti district has been charged with bribery in exchange for agreeing to issue a plea bargain.

According to the Prosecution Service of Georgia, the detainee received 20 000 GEL from the lawyer and the father of the defendant in order to agree to giving a plea bargain.

Investigation into criminal case continues.

The defendant was charged under Article 338 -3 3(e) of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime is punishable by 11 to 15 years in prison.
