Guram Donadze released from the penitentiary institution

Guram Donadze, convicted of abuse of power in the case of Buta Robakidze, released from the penitentiary institution.

According to Guram Chalagashvili, one of the members of the Victorious Georgia, Donadze was released yesterday on the basis of plea bargain.

The former head of the PR department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Zurab Mikadze the former head of the Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police, testified against Irakli Okruashvili, accused in the Buta Robakidze case.

The Tbilisi City Court found Guram Donadze, Zura Mikadze, Davit Iashvili, Zaza Bakradze and Irakli Pirtskhalava guilty in Buta Robakidze’s case. Donadze was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison and was banned from holding office for 2 years and 3 months.
