Paid internship program implemented at the initiative of Prime Minister gives young people the opportunity to gain real professional experience - Tamar Ioseliani

Within the framework of the state internship program, approximately 200 vacancies have been announced at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. Such a statement made today the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development at the interview with Imedi TV.

As she noted, this is a very important program implemented at the initiative of the Prime Minister.

“The Ministry of Economy unites many fields, including: energy, transport, construction, innovations, tourism, etc. Therefore, youth involvement in these directions is of utmost importance to us. A total of 195 vacancies have been announced across all sectors. We are looking for motivated young people.

The public sector is a massive opportunity for young people. Here, they have the chance to see how crucial decisions for the country are made, and how cooperation with the private sector, international organizations, and partners works. I believe that after completing this internship, young people will already have the opportunity to establish themselves in the private sector as well”, - said Tamar Ioseliani.

As she added, the selected candidates will undergo their internship at the Ministry from October 1 to December 31.

“At the next stage, if there are vacancies and they meet the relevant qualification requirements, we will have the opportunity to actively involve them in the activities of the Ministry of Economy. Within this program in 2024–2025, we managed to hire approximately 28 interns. Around 145 vacancies were announced, and we had 145 interns in the system, both in the central apparatus and in the relevant agencies within our structure. Consequently, 28 of these candidates are already working in our system”, - concluded the Deputy Minister.
