Border guard accused of murdering an employee of border crossing point surrendered to police

A border guard, who is accused of murdering an employee of border crossing point in Mestia, has surrendered to police.


According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, they launched investigation into the incident that occurred between border guards in the village of Mulakhi on April 20, leaving one employee of the border crossing point dead.


The investigation launched under the Article 108 of the criminal code of Georgia involving premeditated murder that is punished by imprisonment for a term from 7 to 15 years.
