Kintsvisi Monastery clergyman charged with attempted murder - the Prosecutor’s Office

Kintsvisi Monastery clergyman has been charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms. The clergyman faces prison term of 7 to 15 years if convicted.


The Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti District Prosecutor’s Office, based on the evidence gathered by the investigation, accused K.K. of attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms.


According to the investigation, on April 20, in the evening, in the vicinity of the village of Rieti, K.K. fired several shots with illegally purchased weapon, in the direction of S.J., who was driving a car.


S.J. managed to escape. Law enforcers arrested K.K. on April 27, 2020.
