Today, July 27, Mtskheta District Court discussed the issue of revising the measure of restraint against 11 accused in connection with Giorgi Shakarashvili’s murder case. Court left all of them in custody.
The Prosecutor’s office demanded to prolong pre-trial detention, while the defence demanded the release of the accused persons on bail.

10 of the 11 individuals who were refused bail earlier today do not admit to the crime, while one admits his involvement in a brawl before Shakarashvili went missing.
The remaining 6 detainees are minors and the court will decide whether or not to release them on bail in the coming days.
17 people are detained into death case of 19-year-old footballer. Giorgi Shakarashvili went missing on June 19. His dead body was found on June 22.
