An armed assailant who took hostages from a Bank of Georgia in Zugdidi demanding ransom has released them in the forest of the village of Kirtskhi in Chkhorotsku district.

The attacker managed to escape.

The hostages were first taken to Tsalenjikha police station for questioning and then to Zugdidi.

The hostages were interrogated throughout the night.

Their health condition is satisfactory.
