Officers of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to enforce the rules and recommendations imposed against the spread of COVID-19 in accordance with the decisions of the Interagency Coordination Council, actively control the public places.

Patrol - inspectors are mobilized at the entrances of metro stations to ensure the safety of citizens, observe the rules in force to prevent the spread of the coronavirus by those entering the metro station and to control the proper wearing of safety masks.

In addition to the mentioned, law enforcement officers are intensively patrolling the agrarian markets in the capital and all major cities of Georgia, as well as the territory of the open air markets, to protect public order and safety.

The MIA once again calls on citizens to keep social distance, to wear safety masks in an appropriate way and follow instructions of the police, otherwise, measures provided by the law will be exercised against them.
