People over the age of 55 can be involved in the vaccination process from today. This age group has the opportunity to register for the AstraZeneca vaccination on the relevant site from 18:00 on April 2.
Vaccination is also possible for people on dialysis and patients with organ transplants. Vaccination of dialysis patients will be carried out in the institutions where they are treated.
Up to now only medical personnel and citizens over 65 could be involved in the ongoing vaccination process in Georgia. They had a choice AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccine, but the doses of Pfizer had already run out.
According to the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health, 10,845 volunteers from medical staff and a population aged 65 and above got the coronavirus vaccine as of today. Additional 19,170 people, including 3,848 medical staff, and 11,081 people aged 65/above, booked the vaccine appointment before April 30.
