As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, exposed a fact of breach of procedures related to the movement of particularly large amount of goods across the customs border of Georgia.

Investigation determined, that the heads of one of the companies, in order to receive illegal material benefits, by entering false data in the customs declaration, using two truck vehicles imported various types of goods at the customs border of Georgia, value of which is about GEL 137 000. In fact, a particularly large amount of various undeclared goods with a customs value of GEL 951 810 were imported to Georgia.

Investigations is underway under the second part of article 214 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 5 to 7 years.
