Anti-Namakhvani HPP protest continues - participants spent night in tents

Opponents of Namakhvani HPP spent night in tents near Gumathesi. Earlier one of the organizers of the rally Varlam Goletiani said that blocking the road to the Namakhvani village would not impede their protest.

“We will continue to protest until our demands are met. Amid this situation, ENKA could not build the HPP in this gorge”, - added Goletiani.

Rioni Gorge residents have been protesting the construction of Namakhvani HPP by Turkish company ENKA for about 5 months.
