About 2000 employees of the Rustavi Azot JSC (Nitrogen plant) continue their strike.

Workers are demanding an increase of their salaries of 50% after stopping the functioning of the plant as part of their protest.

Production of ammonium nitrate and sodium cyanide which are the basic products of the plant has been suspended. The strikers do not allow trucks to take out the goods from the plant.

Rustavi majoritarian MP Nino Latsabidze got involved in the negotiations with the protesters.
