The National Environment Agency forecasts rain in west Georgia on May 5. Rainy weather will last until the afternoon of May 6 in eastern regions. The 2-3 magnitude storm is expected at sea.
In eastern Georgia, strong winds blowing from the west, will reach 17-22 meters per second.
Expected heavy rainfall may trigger a significant increase in water levels on the rivers, floods on small rivers in western Georgia, and the avalanche hazard, landslide processes in the mountainous areas.
