Tbilisi City Court has ruled to release Nika Melia from prison. The measure of restraint imposed on the Chairman of the United National Movement was changed to GEL 40,000 bail.

Defendant himself was not present at the hearing, as he had expelled from the courtroom during the previous trial for disrespect for the court.

Nika Melia’s bail – GEL 40 000 was paid by the European Union on Saturday, May 8.
