Heavy frost has destroyed crops in the Samtskhe-Javakheti and killed cattle over the past two days, say local farmers.

On the morning of May 11, the air temperature in the high mountains dropped to -6 degrees. Fruits and crops froze due to bad weather.

The situation is especially difficult in Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni and Aspindza.
