Public Safety Command Center Launched 6 Speed Control Sections in Kakheti Region

For the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, strengthening the road safety is a top priority, which is why video cameras are being intensively installed on highways throughout Georgia.

In order to strengthen road safety, in the territory of Kakheti region, 6 sections of speed control were put into operation on the territory of Telavi, Gurjaani and Kvareli district municipalities.

1. From 3 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (village Sanavardo) - to 6 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (Gavazi village turn) with the permitted speed limit up to 80 km / h.
2. From 6 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (Gavazi village turn) - up to 3 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (village Sanavardo) with the permitted speed limit up to 80 km / h.
3. From 6 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani highway (Gavazi village turn) - up to 16 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani highway (village Velistsikhe) with the permitted speed limit up to 80 km / h.
4. From 16 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (village Velistsikhe) - up to 6 km of Kvareli-Mukuzani road (village Gavazi turn) with the permitted speed limit up to 80 km / h.
5. From 0 km of Telavi-Shakriani road - up to 2 km of Telavi-Shakriani road with the permitted speed limit up to 60 km / h.
6. From 2 km of Telavi-Shakriani road - up to 0 km of Telavi-Shakriani road. with the permitted speed limit up to 60 km / h.

The total length of Georgia is already 1269 km. The length of the road will be controlled by a sectional speed control system.

After launching additional speed control sections, 1269 km long highway will be monitored by the speed sectional control system throughout Georgia in total.
