The Lelo for Georgia has submitted a bill and requested from the Parliament to declare a moratorium on the election of new judges for the Georgia’s Supreme Court and new members in the High Council of Justice before the implementation of Charles Michel agreement.
According to Ana Natsvlishvili, MP from Lelo for Georgia, the High Council of Justice plans to appoint several judges in the coming days.
“The current judicial system, including the High Council of Justice, is run by a clan of judges. The implementation of the EU-mediated agreement will create a serious discomfort for the clan”, - added Ana Natsvlishvili.
