I believe Giorgi Kvinitadze’s another dream will come true and Georgia will become a full member of the European family, said today the Prime Minister at the funeral of General Giorgi Kvinitadze.
“He left our country with the wounded cadets in February 1921, and what is symbolic is that 100 years later our famous general was met by cadets born in independent Georgia. Giorgi Kvinitadze was met by the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili, who had returned from emigration.
Therefore, we can say that Giorgi Kvinitadze’s dream came true - Georgia is a free and independent state.
Even when the red terror of communism was raging in Georgia, Giorgi Kvinitadze believed that his homeland would be free, because freedom and the pursuit of freedom are in the blood of our nation.
“The army is a reflection of the qualities of its people, because it is the firstborn of this society, its blood and flesh”, - these are the words of the man who was one of the main creators of this independent Georgian army, a visible example of the inner strength of his people and a worthy son of Georgia...
I believe that another dream of Giorgi Kvinitadze will definitely come true and Georgia will become a full member of a large European family. We understand that this path is difficult, but our country stands firmly and irreversibly in the footsteps of its ancestors”, - said Irakli Gharibashvili.
