Borjomi mineral water company and about 350 workers who went on strike on May 18 demanding higher salaries and better working conditions have reached the agreement. They announced that the strike is over.
According to the agreement Borjomi will increase the salary of the workers by 20%-30% and will pay for overtime work. Besides, the company would not apply repressive measures against the striking employees and would retain all existing social projects.
The agreement was signed by the Director of IDS Borjomi Georgia, Merab Akhmeteli, President of the Georgian Trade Unions Confederation Irakli Petriashvili and Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees in Agriculture, Trade and Industry Giorgi Diasamidze.
