Georgia is transferring to digital broadcasting from today.

At 10:00 am, the analog TV broadcasting will be switched off in the capital city zone, which comprises the territorial units of Tbilisi, Sagarejo, Kojori, Rustavi and Marneuli.

Reform of the transition to digital broadcasting will affect those who receive TV signal via open airfrom the roof-mounted antenna and those who have old TV boxes.

Modern television sets to receive digital signal has a special device has been built. The part of the population, which the transit of broadcasting (cable operator) service, or special devices through the reform does not apply to satellite broadcasting.

The state has already purchased "set-top boxes"for vulnerable families.
