Khorava street case - court leaves Giorgi Menabde in custody

The pre-trial hearing of Giorgi Menabde, who was detained on the Khorava street case, ended in the Tbilisi City Court.

The Prosecutor’s office demanded the detainee to remain in custody, while the defense requested that he be released without any restraining order.

Menabde is charged with premeditated murder of a minor committed in a group with prior knowledge. The detainee pleads not guilty. If convicted, he faces between 13 and 17 years in prison.
