The organizers of the Tbilisi Pride Week appealed to the authorities to take measures to protect their rights and safety during the Pride Week.

As they said, the state is obliged to ensure the exercise of the right protected by the Constitution. They hoped that they will be able to Pride Week peacefully.

“The state must give us very clear safety guarantees. The march will be peaceful and the safety of the peaceful march must be ensured by the state. The anti-discrimination law was adopted under the rule of the Georgian Dream and they must implement what is written in this law”, - said Ninia Kakabadze, a member of the Tbilisi Pride board.
