The General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has charged G.Ch. with human trafficking.

Police detained G.Ch. (DoB1984) on the basis of the relevant court decision in Tbilisi for human trafficking.

The investigation established that G.Ch. developed human trafficking plan for with the purpose of his own material benefits. He systematically exploited N.Ch., (DoB 1976), forcing him to beg for mercy in different streets of Tbilisi on a daily basis under humiliating, abuse and threats of physical violence. Detainee illegally appropriated funds collected by his victim.

The investigation is in progress on the fact of human trafficking, crime envisaged under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The committed crime envisages from 7 to 12 years of imprisonment.
