Scandal in the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine . The first deputy head of the Investigation Department  Vladimir Shapakin and Deputy Prosecutor of the Kiev region, Alexander Korniets  are detained on suspicion of extorting bribes in a large scale. 

Davit Sakvarelidze, a Deputy Prosecutor General has reported on the arrest to the President.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he  will personally monitor the investigation.

According to the  case materials the detainees extorted money from  businessmen.
