The IMF is ready to help Greece in searching the ways to overcome the crisis. The IMF president Christine Lagarde stated this in Washington. She called on the Greek government to work out a reform plan and on the European leaders to reconstruct the debt.

"Greece is in a severe crisis, which is serious and needs a quick response. We are ready to help Greece in economic growth and debt recovery process. However, the International Monetary Fund has to follow its own rules , and therefore can not offer special conditions, "- said Christine Lagarde.
