Georgian Government has greenlighted booster vaccine shots for people over 50 or with chronic illnesses, as well as those employed in professions with high COVID-19 risk, Deputy Health Minister.
“The council discussed two main issues, these are the use of the so-called booster doses and also, the issue of vaccination of children.
With regard to booster doses, the Council endorsed the use of booster doses 6 months after the second vaccination, for persons over 50 years of age, as well as for persons of any age who have a chronic illness, and for high-risk occupations such as medical staff, as well as people living in closed facility, and persons employed there”, - said Tamar Gabunia.
