Noise at Chkondidi Diocese - police detained 5 clerics

Noise in Chkondidi Diocese. Police are mobilized on the spot. The clergy were forcibly removed from the diocese by law enforcers.

Those remaining near the monastery say they will not leave the area.

Several clerics expelled from the Salkhino Monastery have been taken to the police.

According to the existing information, 4 of them were taken to Martvili Police Department.

As it known, the Patriarchate sent a letter to the Diocese of Chkondidi, asking the monks to leave the monastery complex of the Patriarchate. The term of the exiled clergymen in the monastery expired yesterday, November 4.
