Today, Ambassador Carl Hartzell travelled to Kakheti to highlight EU support to the region visiting several energy efficient projects supported by EU and EBRD.

“He explored the beautiful natural landscape at Kvareli lake resort and toured the hotel seeing the solar panels which contribute to making it 38% more efficient.

The Ambassador also attended and gave opening remarks at the second anniversary event of EuroClub Kvareli, an initiative established by the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) to improve local and young people"s access to non-formal education.

Ambassador Hartzell continued his visit at Askaneli winery to see how the company improved energy efficiency and modernised its equipment thanks to the #EU4Business programme with EBRD. The first day concluded at @HolidayInnTelavi, which was renovated and adopted energy efficiency systems with EU/EBRD support”, - reads the statement of the EU mission.
