Police seized illegal firearms and ammunition in regions of the country - 10 people detained

The officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of complex operative-search and investigative activities, seized illegal firearms and ammunition in different regions of the country. A total of 10 people have been detained on charges of illegal purchase and storage of firearms and ammunition.

The committed crime envisions from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.

Investigation on the facts of illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition is underway under article 236, parts - III, IV and VI of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
