Mikheil Saakashvili is delivering his speech in the courtroom, where the case of embezzling a large amount of budget money is being discussed.

The former president spoke about his ex-wife, Sandra Roelofs, and said she had contributed EUR 100 million in grants to the country’s medical sector.

“Why don’t you judge Sandra? A large portion of the costs are on Sandra. I would gladly sit with her on this bench.

Sandra brought in EUR 100 million grants to the medical sector in this country. Through Sandra, 4 times less Georgian women die of breast cancer than before, every prison doctor will tell you how many things Sandra has done for health system of prisons.

We were together at the General Assembly session and an urgent oncological problem was discovered. She had an emergency operation, quite expensive. Why didn’t you include this case?!”, - said Mikheil Saakashvili.
