Georgian Minister of Economy is paying an official visit to Baku, Azerbaijan.
During the meeting with her Azerbaijani counterpart Mikayil Jabbarov, Natia Turnava underlined that Azerbaijan remains one of Georgia’s main trading partners.
Ministers also talked about the importance of Georgia – Azerbaijan - Turkey trilateral cooperation.
“In the first ten months of 2021 bilateral trade increased by 16%, while exports to Azerbaijan increased 22%. Azerbaijan is a particularly important market for Georgian exports…
Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey have many large joint regional projects in the fields of oil, gas, and railway connections. This is a great opportunity to exchange once again views on how to make our mutual economic cooperation even more fruitful, and to establish more contacts between Georgian and Azerbaijani businesses”, - added Natia Turnava.
