The unified system of public transport and new passenger tariffs will be launched in Tbilisi.
Starting today, February 1, a 90-minute public transport ticket will cost 1 GEL, a 1-day card - 3 GEL, a 1-week - 20 GEL, a 1-month - 40 GEL, a 3-month - 100 GEL, a 6-month - 150 GEL; and 1-year cards will cost 250 GEL. Citizens will be able to use the tickets while traveling by metro, bus, cable car and blue minibus.
According to today’s data, one-month, three-month, six-month and one-year season tickets make 75% of sold cards.
Also, in case of one-time payment, citizens will be able to use bank cards. In addition, all discount cards remain valid and the 16 groups of people who enjoyed the benefits will be retained.
55% of the transportation is made with these preferential benefits. Nothing changes for the mentioned persons, it is not obligatory for them to get a new card.
