As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia exposed a fact of storage of particularly large amount of excisable goods subject to marking, without excise marks.

Investigation determined that the accused person, in the vehicle operated by him, was storing 5422 boxes of non-excised tobacco.

As a result of the investigative activities, abovementioned non-excised tobacco was seized, total market value of which estimates GEL 24 389,60.

Investigation is underway under the third part of Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 8 years.
