Public transport, children’s entertainment centers, museums, theaters, swimming pools will be free for Ukrainians. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi.
“I would like to once again express our support and readiness to assist the Ukrainian people and wish them peace. As you know, certain activities are carried out for Ukrainian citizens in Georgia. The central government has decided to provide these people with housing and food. Certainly, the municipality is also involved in all this, which is welcome.
We have made a decision and all the structural units under the municipality will be free for them: public transport, children"s entertainment centers, museums, theaters, swimming pools, etc. The main thing is that upon presenting Ukrainian passports they receive all services free of charge. In addition, the Tbilisi City Hall hotline for Ukrainian citizens will be affected. If you need any additional help, you can contact us at 032 272 22 22. We will, to the best of our ability, support and assist them in every way possible.
A week ago, we opened a special treasury account and asked business representatives, as well as other stakeholders, to provide financial assistance to help Ukraine. More than half a million GEL has already been transferred, for which I would like to thank all the business entities, each ordinary citizen who transferred the money. Here is the treasury account code – 300778800. You can transfer any amount to it; upon transfer, please, specify - for Ukraine. We will do our best to help Ukraine in need with this amount, on behalf of the Georgian people”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
