Georgia may remain without gas in August

In the second half of August, Georgia may remain without gas.

Rehabilitation of two majorpipes is to start almost simultaneously, which means that the gas supply will be restricted.

The government is considering as an alternative the gas pipeline connecting Russia and Armenia. However,it is not known whether the Georgian side will fully fill the shortfall by Russian gas, since, as it is reported, Georgia already owes Moscow a- 100-million debt.
