Georgian opposition comments on Kibar Khalvashi`s lawsuit against Rustavi2. United national Movement (UNM) members state that the government is afraid of free media and the fear became stronger in pre-election period.

UNM members remind 2003 year to government. They recommend to the ruling party not to repeat Eduard Shevardnadze"s mistakes.

" Bidzoina Ivanishvili has been opposing Rustavi2 since he came to power. He thinks that free media and especially "Rustavi-2" is the main threat. I think that he wants to pressure "Rustavi2" one year before elections,"- Sergo Ratiani said.

NGOs plan to make an announcement on this issue today.

The former owner of Rustavi2" demands the shares of the company and seizure of other owner"s shares. The administration of the company states that this is a pressure on free media.
