As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, initiated criminal prosecution against two persons, on the fact of misappropriation of large amount of state property by deceit, prior agreement as a group, by manufacturing and using forged official documents.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, during 2021, using forged documents, fraudulently registered as their property state owned land plot, with an area of 9 100 m2 , located in Dusheti municipality, market value of which is GEL 426 958.

It was established, that the accused also attempted to fraudulently register three land plots, with the value of GEL 1 650 640, using forged documents, which was prevented due to operative and efficient investigative activities conducted on the case.

Investigation is being continued under the Articles 362 and 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years.
