Candidate selection is underway for 401 ranger positions in the central apparatus and regional forestry services of the National Forestry Agency [NFA].

The vacancies were announced within the framework of the NFA reform, the aim of which is to strengthen forest protection and improve the practice of forest use. Within the framework of the reform, over 1.7 million hectares of the forest fund were divided into 903 districts. Each district will be handed over to a ranger with personal responsibility. In order to strengthen forest protection and control, a total of 499 new employees will be added to the NFA system, of them 401 - ranger. Adult persons who have complete general education had the opportunity to submit applications for the vacancies.

“Within the framework of the NFA reform, the forest protection component is significantly strengthening. In order to prevent and curb illegal logging, over 1.7 million hectares of the forest fund were divided into 903 districts. Each district will be handed over to a ranger with personal responsibility, which will contribute to the strengthening of forest protection and control. Within the framework of the reform, 499 new employees will be added to the National Forestry Agency system, of them 401 to the ranger position. Information about the vacancies by regions was posted on the official Facebook page of the agency and any interested person had the opportunity to participate in the open and transparent competition”, - said Besik Amiranashvili, head of the NFA.

The persons selected as a result of the competition will be distributed in the nine regional forestry services of the NFA.
