Giorgi Pangani, the Commissioner of the Georgian National Energy and Water supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) held a meeting with the representatives of the French Development Agency (AFD). The parties discussed issues of the future cooperation.

Giorgi Pangani introduced the current reform in the energy sector to the representatives of the French Development Agency (AFD). In addition, the Commissioner provided them with the information about GNERC’s role in the development of green energy, regulations of the existing and future models of the wholesale electricity market of Georgia.

As part of the future cooperation, the French Development Agency (AFD) representatives agreed to provide technical support to GNERC for strengthening the implementation of reforms related to the energy sector regulation.
