Kobuleti was paralyzed today for several hours due to heavy rains, but at the end of day the road and railway traffic was restored.

First floors of residential houses have been flooded in Kobuleti, western Georgia. The flooded river Achkva has caused problems for the population. As local residents have told InterPressNews, they could not bring items from houses as the water level was high and reached one meter.

As the Kobuleti power plant was also flooded, most of the day electricity was not supplied to 14 thousand customers.
As Kobuleti Governor Sulkhan Evgenidze says , school process has been suspended in three schools and three kindergartens of Kobuleti. According to him the loss is significant but has not been calculated yet as Kobuleti still remains flooded.
