Georgian national team starts preparation for the third historic game

The Georgian national team started preparing for the third historic game. The Georgian football players will meet Portugal in Arena AufSchalkein, Gelsenkirchen, in two days - June 26.

The match will start at 23:00 Tbilisi time. The main task is to get to the playoffs.

Georgia got its first historical point against the Czech Republic. A real football performance at the Hamburg stadium ended in a 1:1 draw.

The goal was scored by Giorgi Mikoutadze with an accurate shot from 11 meters. It should be mentioned that Mikoutadze is the sixth player in history who has scored the first 2 goals on behalf of his national team at the European Championships.

Giorgi Mamardashvili set the record of the current European Championship with 11 rebounds in a historic game. 23-year-old Mamardashvili was named the best player of the match by UEFA.
