Giorgi Kakhiani, the chairman of the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee states that there is no need to recuse the Judge Urtmelidze. As Kakhiani states, it is up to judge to take a decision.

The opposition climes that this is a political process and government oppresses media and the judiciary.

" Events related to Rustavi2 have shown that the government performs a large-scale attack on the judiciary and on media.  They want to subordinate the judiciary as well as the media, and of course it goes beyond the problems of just these two institutions.  This is demolition of a democratic constitutional state, - said Sergo Ratiani.

Non-parliamentary opposition states that defending Rustavi2 they will defend democracy of the country.
